The Combined Nomenclature is the EU’s eight-digit goods classification system, built on the six-digit Harmonized System and set out in Annex I to Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87, which is updated annually. The CN code declared on an import declaration determines the applicable duty rate and any agricultural or trade-policy measures for the product.
