Auditors under schemes such as GLOBALG.A.P. or Rainforest Alliance review pesticide records and habitat management plans. Common gaps include undocumented spray timings during bloom and absence of buffer zones near hives. Suppliers should retain agronomist records and any apiary agreements as supporting documentation.
In a specification
A product specification or sustainability annex may require the supplier to confirm compliance with the pollinator-protection requirements of the applicable private certification scheme or national agri-environment programme.
