HiPro is a trade name for high-protein oilseed meal, made from partly dehulled seed so that it contains more crude protein and less fibre than standard meal.
In trade practice
The term is used mainly for sunflower and soybean meal. It is a trade convention, not a legal category: feed labels use the name from the Catalogue of feed materials, and the contract defines HiPro by a protein minimum, a fibre maximum and the basis.
