Every page on this site is a reference document, so it is written, reviewed and corrected under a fixed process rather than published and forgotten.
How an entry is written
- A parameter is only stated when it can be traced to a standard, a regulation, a published dataset or a documented industry practice.
- Where a figure varies by season, region or grade, the range is given rather than a single flattering number.
- Where the industry genuinely disagrees, the disagreement is described instead of being resolved by assertion.
- Trade names and supplier names are not used as evidence.
Review cycle
Entries carry a last-reviewed date and a next-review date. Regulatory content – MRLs, import rules, certification schemes – is reviewed at least annually and immediately after a known change. Commercial content – prices, MOQs, transit times – carries the date it was captured, because it is only meaningful with one.
Corrections
If a figure on this site is wrong, we would rather know. Send the page URL and the correction through the contact page. A substantive correction is applied to the entry and the last-reviewed date is moved; a typographic fix is applied silently.
Independence
No entry is created, promoted, reordered or removed in exchange for payment. Inquiries submitted through this site do not influence editorial content.
