Knowledge Base: Guides, Standards, Questions and Glossary

Everything published on Vorezan, organised by what you are trying to decide.

This site is a reference library for people who buy Ukrainian agricultural products

and have to defend the decision afterwards. It is organised by content type rather

than by marketing funnel, because the question you arrive with usually maps cleanly

onto one type.

The five content types and what each is for

**Guides** are the long-form pieces. A guide takes one decision – how to write a

frozen berry specification, how to choose an Incoterm, how to run a supplier

approval – and works through it end to end, including the parts that go wrong. If

you are learning a subject rather than checking a fact, start in

the guides section.

**Standards** are one record per certification scheme or regulation: what it covers,

who audits it, what the certificate actually proves, and what it does not prove. The

purpose is comparison. When a buyer asks whether IFS Food and BRCGS are

interchangeable, the answer lives in the standards section

rather than in a sales email.

**Questions** are short answers to the single questions that come up in email

threads. Two hundred words, no preamble. If someone on your team asks what a

diastase number is or what FCL means in a freight quotation, send them

the question rather than a guide.

**Products** are specification pages. Each one carries the parameters a buyer needs

in order to write a purchase specification: grades, size bands, defect tolerances,

microbiological criteria, packaging formats, seasonality and the customs

classification family. They are deliberately dry. See

the product index.

**Glossary** entries define terms. They exist so that the rest of the site can use

precise language without stopping to explain it every time. Terms are linked on

first mention within an article and nowhere else, which keeps the body text

readable.

How the sections connect

Every substantive page carries a relations block listing the products, guides,

standards, routes and markets it touches. Those relations are curated, not

generated by tag matching, so following them tends to land you somewhere useful

rather than somewhere merely similar.

The intended reading path for a first-time buyer runs: product specification, then

the standard that governs the parameter you are unsure about, then the guide that

explains how the parameter is tested, then the route that tells you how the goods

will physically arrive. Most people arrive in the middle of that chain from a search

engine, which is why each page links backwards as well as forwards.

Where to start, by decision

If you are **writing a specification** for the first time, start with a product page,

then read the grading and defect guide for that category. If you are **approving a

supplier**, start with the supplier approval guide and the standards records for the

schemes named in the certificate you have been sent. If you are **pricing a shipment**,

start with the Incoterms guide and then the route record for the corridor. If you are

**entering a new market**, start with the market record, which lists the requirements

that sit above EU law in that country.

What we do not publish

We do not publish price indices, market size estimates or forecasts. Those numbers

change faster than a static page can track and are usually sourced from subscription

databases that we are not licensed to redistribute. Where a figure matters, we state

the regulation, standard or measurement method behind it and let you look up the

current value.

We also do not publish anything that reads as a guarantee of supply, quality or

compliance. Vorezan is an information platform. The contractual specification is the

one signed between you and your supplier.

Corrections

Every page carries a last-reviewed date and an evidence confidence marker. If you

find an error, or a regulation has been superseded since a page was reviewed, tell us

through the contact page and we will correct it and re-date the

page.

Vorezan provides informational and analytical content about agricultural products, markets, logistics and standards. We do not act as a seller, broker or guarantor of product quality or transactions.
